RBC Canadian Open

RBC Canadian Open- Hamilton GC Ontario- 7000 yard par 70 classical test Harry Colt design Bentgrass/Poa Annua fairways, Kentucky bluegrass/rye/fescue rough, Bentgraa/Poa Annus greens avg 5000 sq ft, often heavily tiered with virtue of landing below the hole, stimp 10.5-11ft. Two par 5's and tough par 3's this is meant to be a ball-striker/shot shaping friendly (despite Piercy win in '12) with fairly narrow fairways and long rough. Accuracy off tee not vital, proximity, scrambling strokes gained putting. look to score -16

This course is host for only 6th time in 110 years and since last played, there has been a mass tree removal (over 1000) bringing in clearer sightlines closer to the original vision of the course, as well as better grass growing and other environmental support. for first time in 30 years tournament schedule has moved this to June.

Not too much to rely on for course from from only '03 '06 '12

No surprise to see Dusty top of ratings and miles clear (6th strokes gained putting), but 6/1?? Not for me

Bud Cauley 50/1 comes 5th, with Snedeker (15th SG putting)40/1 who is only ranked 3 places behind him. One place behind him is Bozzelli 360/1 who is 4th SG putting. 3rd SG putting is McCarthy 175/1, and though Furyk 40/1 is ranked lower he is in top 3 proximity to hole from fairways

I will select Furyk Snedeker McCarthy and Bozzelli as 4 to go with

Interesting - Furyk playing well and not been far away.

Not really looked much for this one as I’m busy revising for an exam next week!

anyhow,  3 players I think could do well at this course all 28/1:

bubba Watson

sergio Garcia

scott Piercy
