Rocket mortgage Classic

A new event to help shore up the MidWest, given an increasing paucity of status

Rocket Mortgage Classic- Detroit GC- two courses, North(17) and South(1), inaugural, open status. Classical Par 72 7334 yards Ross designed 1916, Bentgrass/poa fairways, Kentucky blurgrass rough up to 4”, poa/Bent greens (80/20%) avg 5150 sq ft,12ft stimp, 4 par 5's, old-style tree-lined, contoured and undulating greens. Avoid downhill putts, decent scoring as many par 4's fairly short, strong GIR.

As a new event, there are no historic trends to go on unfortunately, other than a general stats basis

On basic stuff, Dusty is miles, and i mean miles, clear. 6/1? Not a chance. Matsuyma, woodland, Fowler come next but again 14/1 14/1 12/1? No.

I will take the next four. Im 45/1 Clark 160/1 Taylor 80/1 Cauley 100/1 and just hope for the best

I was going to leave this tournament.

However, looking at the power rankings there are 3 I shall back in this one:

Ryan Moore: who has really good form on Ross designed courses and is high up on the rankings and odds around 33/1 or 30/1 if you decide to take the 8 places with skybet shall be my main bet.

Kevin Kisner: Although he has been out of form since he won the World Match Play in March, he does look to be improving of late with great rounds of 65 and 67 last week and another who features highly on the power rankings and odds of 40/1 may be worth a punt.

Kevin Streelman: Figures highly in all of the PGA stats this season and is a consistent performer with four top 15 finishes in four of his last seven starts.

odds of 40/1
