US Open

US Open- Pebble Beach, Carmel CA- classical technical coastal 7075 yards par 71, perennial rye fairway/rough, small poa annoa greens avg 3500sq ft, stimp 11ft. Totally different set up to the annual pro-am here. Strong GIR, scrambling, putting, ball striking all-round, stay below the hole. 6th time hosting

no getting away from the fact that most of the top rated are shortish in price, though can't have Dusty (miles lear at top rated) 8/1 nor McIlroy 8/1

I have Rose 2nd ranked 25/1, Kuchar 3rd 50/1 (inside top 10 for all round ranking and ball striking and inside top 20 total driving) and will have those two, much though I loathe Kuchar

For a final two, there is nothing I can find that appeals within those lower prices so have gone for outsiders at a price. Kim 150/1 and Baddeley 300/1. If Justin Harding was higher ranked, I would have selected him though not much other than total driving stats would be behind that

Got to admit, Kuchar is worth a punt at those prices.

I like Brandt Snedeker at odds around 45/1 with 10 places on offer with some bookies. Seems to be well- suited To the US  Open with 6 top 11 finishes at this event. And with being in good form at the moment with a T4 at the Canadian Open I think is well worth a bet.

I’m also sticking with Xander Schauffele wisely or not I still believe he has a flair for the big stage with 4 top 10 finishes in his first nine majors and just a matter of time 🤔 odds 22/1

I’m still undecided if am going to back anymore at bigger prices and will have another look through, and add anymore if I do.

Ok I want a big priced one as well, so going in again with Kevin Na like his odds around 100/1 and think he does well at this venue, besides he owes me nothing!

Enjoy the golf 🤞

I was thinking of snedeker, even though he only just placed for me last week at 40/1, disappointing when at halfway stage he was only 1 behind, but made no headway at all final two days, regardless of rory's final round

Sigh, another placed effort with Rose. But so disappointing to see that final round, and that's easily 3 or 4 this season either leading or strongly placed in the final round that have failed over those last important holes
